In original cloth binding, with gilt lettering to spine. A small volume tracing the history of bibliomania (book madness) in Medieval Europe. Merryweather looks at the way monasteries preserved the great texts of antiquity, but also at more mundane day-to-day aspects of the Medieval bookworm, such as reading lists and the lending of books. A fine collectible for the lover of books and their history.
